Listen

The Universe has been shouting at me. Screaming, as it tries to pull me out from the pit which I fell in. I have been warned through dreams, symbols and through other sentient beings. Yet I have refused to listen. I have chosen to exist in the illusion that I wanted to live in so desperately. But alas! Like cold water suddenly poured upon my body, I have awaken from this dream knowing that the only consolation I get from my stubbornness are the valuable lessons and experiences it imparts. And which I carry with me as I continue my journey. Namaste.

Help Me Decode This Dream

It was an old hospital. Much like from the twenties. You can see the paints falling off from the wall. And every time you take a step, you can hear the creaking sound of the wooden floor. Antigua, a two-storey abandoned hospital, it was where we used to live.

We were staying in the nursery room, as the other tenants were living in wards, emergency and operating rooms. I was outside our room, in the 2nd floor hospital hall way. I was wearing my usual ‘porontong’ and shirt, when suddenly out of nowhere a huge black cobra approached me. The size was like of that of a human. I was not terrified by it. It was not even in its aggressive mode. The black cobra gracefully slithers towards me and I was even amazed by the sight of it. And I felt that I was in control of the serpent. It seems that we communicate with each other, mentally. I instructed the cobra to go straight to the hospital lobby, it was probably used as the viewing area for the nursery room. I followed it behind while seeing some individuals, including my sister, frightened by it. However, I told them that the cobra is a good friend of mine and is harmless.

We were playing in the lobby. However, some of the people were still afraid of it. Thus, I requested the cobra to change its appearance. It then morphed into white domino pieces, connected to each other, but still much like a snake. We continued to play and even tried to measure the size of my foot. And after a while, the domino-snake transformed into a wide colourful square paper, lying flat on the ground. Kids running around started stepping on it, though unintentionally. Fearful of being destroyed, the cobra [square paper] immediately folded into its own, like an origami, artistically bending its sides towards the center. Unfortunately, it was not able to fold properly, thus I gently took it from the ground, fixed it and carried it with me as if it was my own – a part of me.
